PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a whole profile dressing roll (1) for dressing a plurality of lines of grinding worms to generate and grind a small module gear, having a profile part applied with high pressure at top and bottom of a profile groove (4) during dressing and protected from high wear and early abrasive grain loss and no unevenness of a surface of a flank of the dressing roll (1) disturbed by a profile comb (3), and effectively extending a service life of the dressing roll (1). SOLUTION: This whole profile dressing roll (1) includes: a groove-shaped axial cross-section profile of an outside envelope surface (2) covered with hard material abrasive grains; and the hard material profile comb (3) buried in the envelope surface (2) and cut by a profile having a plurality of wave types of rack tooth profile. The profile is in touch with only an axial part profile portion of the dressing roll (1) on the outside envelope surface (2) of the dressing roll (1), and the portion is prevented from joining generation of a grinding worm flank.
