PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bend a film substrate, even when a plurality of display elements are laminated. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display element includes a first layer having two substrates and a liquid crystal layer formed between the two substrates. The liquid crystal display element includes a second layer laminated on the first layer, and having two substrates and a liquid crystal layer formed between the two substrates, wherein a part of a substrate facing to the first layer between the two substrates is stuck to a substrate of the first layer, to be thereby laminated on the first layer. In the liquid crystal display element, each liquid crystal layer of the first layer and the second layer has a thicker peripheral part than the center part. In the liquid crystal display element, each liquid crystal layer of the first layer and the second layer has a plurality of spacers for keeping the interval between the two substrates constant, and the density of spacers on the periphery of the liquid crystal layer is lower than the density of spacers on the center part.
