<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting fresh milk simply and quickly at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for inspecting fresh milk comprises: a means (a), which has a surface to which surfactant adheres, to release myeloperoxidase from somatic cells of the fresh milk by letting the fresh milk come in contact with the surfactant; a means (b) for measuring the concentration of the released myeloperoxidase; and a means (c) for calculating the number of somatic cells in the fresh milk from the concentration of the myeloperoxidase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
