<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide superior images without abnormal images at all times by accurately detecting a toner density even when the flowability of toner largely fluctuates and accurately controlling the toner density in an image forming apparatus including a developing device of a two-component developing system. <P>SOLUTION: Even when a developer is peeled by a reflux plate for making surplus developer regulated by a layer thickness regulating member flow back to a position separated from the layer thickness regulating member, the substantial decline of the flowability of the developer cannot be detected just by disposing a toner density detection sensor on the outer side of the end part of the reflux plate or in a range very close to a fixed magnet block. However, by disposing a density detection means at a position for detecting the toner density of a two-component developer flowing on the reflux plate, the decline of the flowability is detected beforehand, and highly accurate toner density control is made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
