PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information on an obstacle in front of a vehicle, according to the road condition at an appropriate time. SOLUTION: A target stop position Xstop is calculated based on a position where an obstacle occurs (step S21), a vehicle speed pattern for a vehicle to arrive at the target stop position Xstop is prepared based on the road shape, and an operation load Wload of a driver when he or she drives with the vehicle speed pattern is predicted from a physical load such as acceleration/deceleration load or steering load and a recognition load such as forward gazing load or confirmation load (step S22). A section in which the operation load Wload exceeds a threshold is defined as a driving load increasing section. When information providing position Xinfo for stopping the vehicle at the target stop position Xstop at a reference deceleration Ginfo is contained in the section, whether a necessary deceleration Greq for stopping the vehicle at the target stop position Xstop exceeds a threshold is determined, based on the vehicle speed at a position closer to the vehicle by a predetermined distance from the start point of the operation load increasing section.
