PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion control device capable of accurately specifying a peak position of a iron current irrespectively of the operation state of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The combustion control device includes an ignition coil CL, a switching element Q controlling the energization of the ignition coil, an ECU performing the on/off-operation of the switching element, an ignition plug PG operating for electric discharge, and an ion current detection circuit ION outputting a detection signal proportional to the ion current. The ECU includes an acquisition means (ST1) acquiring a detection signal which is given when the switching element Q is in an off-state, and a specifying means (ST2-ST12) analyzing the detection signal obtianed by the acquisition means (ST1) for a data analysis section [A-C] at each operation state, determining to which of five typical patterns the detection signal pertains, and specifying a second peak position of the detection signal based on algorithm at each typical pattern.
