摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of electric short circuit due to contacting of separator peripheral edges with one another, thereby preventing deterioration of power generation performance of a fuel battery. <P>SOLUTION: In a fuel battery cell having a pair of separators arranged separated from each other and a gasket arranged between the separators and sealing fluid such as fuel gas, the separator peripheral edges contain insulators so as not to generate short circuits due to contacting of the separator peripheral edges with one another at deformation of the separators. The gasket is molded in a die, and at the same time, it is mounted on one of the separators. One of the separators sets a peripheral edge part area where the gasket is not mounted outside a gasket mounting area.
