<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup container using foamable styrene-based resin particles that prevent the separation of a coating agent during the process of distribution to a preliminary foaming machine, silo, or foam molding machine, and extremely lessens the adhesion of the coating agent to the internal wall of a particle distribution pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The resin particle surface of the foamable styrene-based resin particles is coated with a composition. The composition comprises: a polyhydric alcohol A having a liquid form at room temperatures and used to coat the resin particle surface; 0.01 to 0.3 pts.wt. of fatty acid monoglyceride based on 100 pts.wt. of the resin particles; 0.1 to 0.8 pts.wt. of fatty acid based on 100 pts.wt. of resin particles; and a polyhydric alcohol B that has a liquid form at room temperatures. 0.02 to 0.3 pts.wt. of polyhydric alcohols A and B are contained based on the 100 pts.wt. of the resin particles.
