<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing and cutting apparatus that securely separates a sealed material even if an uncut portion occurs due to cutting failure as a result of sealing and cutting a material to be sealed. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of separator members 15 and 16 are arranged on both the left and right sides with a receiving member 9 therebetween. The right separator member 15 is in a projecting position whereas the left separator member 16 is in a retracting position. While an ultrasonic horn 11 and the receiving member 9 move leftward, they seal and cut a packaging material S in an area opposite the ultrasonic horn 11 and receiving member 9. There may be an uncut portion due to cutting failure despite the sealing and cutting of the packaging material S. Even in such a case, the right separator member 15 follows the ultrasonic horn 11 and receiving member 9, strikes against the uncut portion, and passes along the sealed and cut portion while completely cutting the uncut portion off this portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
