PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stencil original paper which can inhibit deterioration of image quality of a print image even when carrying out plate making by a plate making system using a laser beam. SOLUTION: The stencil original paper 1 includes: a resin film 2; a laser beam intercept layer 3 which is arranged on one surface of the resin film 2 and intercepts a laser beam; and a porous resin layer 4 which is arranged on the surface of the laser beam intercept layer 3 opposite to the resin film 2 and consists of a resin which has a plurality of air holes.
