<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create an album of a desired person with simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: When insertion of an external memory is determined, whether automatic creation has been set or not is determined in S2. If the automatic creation has been set, a screen for selecting the kinds of images is displayed in S4. The kinds of photographs are selected in S5, S6, S7. In the case of portraits, face recognition software is used to retrieve portraits in S10. The retrieved portraits are stored as an album in a body memory and displayed in S11. Thumbnail images of the images of the retrieved portraits are displayed for each person on an LCD.
