PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for qualitative and/or quantitative detection with high specificity and sensitivity of common wheat among wheat contained in various test samples, such as food raw material and processed food. SOLUTION: The method comprises: a PCR amplification using two primers, the one consisting of a specific base sequence and the other consisting of a specific base sequence that is different from that of the former primer, and the nucleic acid extracted from a test sample as the template; and the detection of the presence of PCR amplified product.
