PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet supply device capable of restraining generation of sheet movement and large contact sound, when a sheet abuts on a sheet supply roller, by stably making a lift member approach the sheet supply roller. SOLUTION: This sheet supply device includes a sheet supply tray 65 for placing the sheet supplied inside a device body M, the sheet supply roller 66 for supplying the sheet inside the device body M, a lift member 610 energized so as to rotate toward the sheet supply roller 66 and having a pressing object surface 612, and a lifting cam 620 for rotating the lift member 610 so as to be changeable to an abutting state of allowing the sheet placed on the sheet supply tray 65 to abut on the sheet supply roller 66 and a separation state of separating the sheet from the sheet supply roller 66 by rotating the lifting cam 620. The lifting cam 620 and the lift member 610 are constituted so that the lift member 610 substantially rotates at equal angular velocity when the lifting cam 620 rotates at equal angular velocity.
