PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing capable of preventing entry of a foreign substance into the bearing, abrading a seal member by enhancing the rigidity of the seal member, and surely achieving reduction in seal torque. SOLUTION: The seal member 5 of the rolling bearing is a contact seal with its base end fixed in an outer ring 2 and its seal lip part 15 contacted with an inner ring 1. The seal lip part 15 includes a body part 15a, and a front end part 15b protruded from the inner surface side edge of the inner peripheral surface of the inner peripheral edge of the body part 15a and contacted with the inner ring 1. At least the material of the front end part 15b is made of a high abrasion material abraded to be contactless or lightly contacted with contact pressure almost considered as zero by using the bearing in a rotating state.
