PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable for an endoscope which performs transmission and reception of signals at a high speed and which hardly causes break of electric signal lines on a flexible substrate when it is bent. SOLUTION: An imaging cable 41 is subjected to a pressure toward its axis in the bending direction. A cable tube 61 is squashed toward the axis of the imaging cable 41 in the bending direction by the pressure when it is bent. The cable tube 61 and a noncontact part 77 of the rotary ring 72 are brought into contact with each other in the bending direction. The rotary ring 72 is subjected to a force toward the axis of the imaging cable 41 in the bending direction by the contact between the cable tube 61 and the rotary ring 72. By the above force, the rotary ring 72 and the FPC substrate 62 are rotated in the direction in which the width direction of the FPC substrate 62 is deviated from the bending direction of the imaging cable 41 in the direction around the axis of the imaging cable 41.
