PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing container 1 containing a capsule type endoscope, which prevents the pre-use consumption of a battery 14A in the capsule type endoscope 10 housed in a housing part 20. SOLUTION: The capsule type endoscope 10 includes: an imaging part 12; an image signal transmitting part 13 for transmitting an image signal; the battery 14A for supplying driving power; a magnetic field signal receiving part 15 for receiving a magnetic field signal being a start control signal to start or stop the supply of the driving power; and a power supply control part 14 for controlling the start and stop of supplying the driving power by a toggle operation whenever the magnetic field signal is received. The housing part 20 includes: a housing case 20A; an image signal receiving part 41 for output of a start detection signal when the start of supplying the driving power of the capsule type endoscope 10 is detected by the reception of the image signal; and a magnetic field signal transmitting part 21 for transmitting the start control signal to stop the supply of the driving power of the capsule type endoscope 10 after a prescribed time elapses from the output of the start detection signal.
