Provided is a contents reproduction device that can concurrently switch a video (hereinafter called “V”) image and a graphics (hereinafter called “G”) image from 2D to 3D.  A contents reproduction device (1) is provided with a program execution unit (30) that outputs a G image used for 2D to a left G plane (120a) and outputs a G image used for 3D to left and right G planes (120a, 120b), respectively; an AV reproduction unit (40) that outputs a V image used for 2D to the left V plane (110a) and outputs a V image used for 3D to the left and right V planes, respectively; and a switch unit (80) that outputs a first synthesized image of images stored at the left V plane (110a) and the left G planes (120a) at the 2D reproduction time and switches to output a second synthesized image of images stored at the right V plane (110b) and the right G plane (120b) and the first synthesized image at the 3D reproduction time, wherein a changeover at the switch unit (80) is carried out in accordance with the completion of the generation of one screen G image used for 3D, in the case of 2D→3D.
