<p>A communicating device capable of transmitting packets to a destination device via any of a plurality of adjacent devices, has a first measuring unit for measuring a first quality of a link between the communicating device and the destination device for a first period of time, a second measuring unit for measuring a second quality of a link from the communicating device to the destination device for a second period of time shorter than the first period of time, a first selector for selecting an adjacent device from the plurality of adjacent devices based on the measured first quality when transmitting a new packet to the destination device, and a second selector for selecting an adjacent device from the plurality of adjacent devices based on the measured second quality upon failure of transmitting the new packet.</p> |
