PURPOSE: A vertically aligned liquid crystal display is provided to lower the manufacturing costs and overall thickness by reducing the number of phase difference films. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(2) comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, and a vertically aligned liquid crystal layer. A first polarization member(3) comprises a first transmission axis and a first absorption axis. The first absorption axis is located in the other side of the first substrate. A second polarizing member(4) comprises a second transmission axis and a second absorption axis. The second polarizing member is located in the other side of the second substrate. A first phase difference film(5) is located between the second substrate and the second polarizing member. |
