PURPOSE: An image display device and an operation method thereof are provided to easily convert into an external input mode. CONSTITUTION: A controller displays an external input list including at least one of the external input terminals of an image display device in a second display(S410). In case one external input terminal is selected, the controller displays an image based on a signal received from the selected external input terminal in a first display(S420,S430).
