PURPOSE: A current limitation method of a display device is provided to improve the property of a current by controlling brightness through accumulated brightness average. CONSTITUTION: The brightness average of an inputted image is calculated at frame(S120). The difference of brightness between a previous and after frame of the image is calculated. The brightness average of the frame is accumulated to calculate accumulated brightness average(S200). The accumulated brightness average is transformed into a predetermined brightness(S300) The brightness of the inputted image is controlled according to the brightness control value.
