PURPOSE: An electromotive compressor for air conditioning of a vehicle and method of calculating power consumption thereof are provided to prevent errors due to external environment by measuring the power consumption of the electromotive compressor using thermocouple. CONSTITUTION: An electromotive compressor for air conditioning of a vehicle comprises an inverter circuit(10), an electric motor(20) and a compressor. The electric motor receives and operates AC power from the inverter circuit. The compressor receives and operates driving force from the electric motor. The inverter circuit comprises thermocouple, a power consumption measuring unit(16), and a control unit(19). The thermocouple measures power consumption of an AC power source provided from the inverter circuit to the electric motor. The power consumption measuring unit comprises a voltage measuring unit. The voltage measuring unit measures voltage between two metals of the thermocouple.
