<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide smaller and more inexpensive optical transmitter/receiver and optical receiver by reducing electrical and optical crosstalk between a transmitting section and a receiving section or between receiving sections. SOLUTION: A transmitting section comprising a plurality of optical coupling means, light emitting elements, and driving ICs; and a receiving section comprising light emitting elements and amplifiers; are provided on an Si substrate. Openings are made in the Si substrate along the boundary of the transmitting section and receiving section, a metal base is bonded to the rear surface of the Si substrate, and the legs of a conductive shield plate are inserted into the openings. The lower end thereof is bonded to the base metal so that a current flowing into the Si substrate is interrupted by the legs of the shield plate.</p> |
