PURPOSE: A method for isolating nucleic acids is provided to effectively isolate nucleic acid of high concentration. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating nucleic acids comprises: a step of contacting a sample with a solid support to bind the nucleic acid to the solid support; a step of contacting the solid support with elution solution and dispersing the solid support to the elusion solution by gas pressure or ultrasonic wave intensity; and a step of isolating the elution solution from the sold support. The solid support is a magnetic bead, silica bead, polystyrene bead, glass bead, cellulose bead, or mixture thereof.
