PURPOSE: A rubber composition for tire tread is provided to remove bad odor generated from a material constituting tire and inherent odor of rubber, and to reduce the emission of harmful volatile materials. CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition for tire tread comprises a crude rubber and a rubber compounding agent, and further 1~80 parts by weight of a lacquer component based on 100 parts by weight of the crude rubber. The lacquer component includes one or mixture selected from the group consisting of oily lacquer having 97% or more of solid portion, aqueous lacquer having 31% or more of solid portion, and powdered lacquer having 10 micron or less of average granularity.
