PURPOSE: An advertisement service method using a video call and a video communication apparatus using the same are provided to display advertisement contents in a video call. CONSTITUTION: A user input unit receives the selection of the display of advertisement contents from a user(210). In case the user selects the display of the advertisement contents, the communication unit of a video communication apparatus receives the advertisement contents from a server(220). A display unit displays the advertisement contents with a video call(230). According to the advertisement contents, the video communication apparatus reduces video call expenses(240).
