PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for serving the MTC(Machine Type Communication) service are provided to minimize the influence for the resource allocation of a mobile station using the existing network. CONSTITUTION: A priority alarm detector(710) detects whether the priority alarm message is necessary or not. A MTC controller(720) is connected the priority alarm detector. The MTC controller receives the uplink assignment message including the uplink resource allocated from network. The MTC controller transmits MTC data to the priority alarm message or the other MTC category to the network by using the uplink resource.
