FIELD: weapons and ammunition. ^ SUBSTANCE: artillery small-calibre cartridge includes armour-piercing solid shell and case with powder propellant charge. Shell is covered with thin-wall ballistic fairing and equipped with copper driving band and tracer. Lead ring is arranged in case under tracer. Powder propellant charge is interconnected with igniter capsule mounted in case flange. On head edge of solid shell, inside fairing, there installed in addition is adjacent incendiary stick from heat-sensitive pyrotechnic compound. Stick is made in the form of flattened cone, the surface of which is congruent to fairing. ^ EFFECT: enlarging damage effect of ammunition and increasing survivability of cannon barrel. ^ 2 dwg
