Receptor distribution is determined in addition in tumor units of mammary gland carcinoma. Sites of positive and negative expression and various expression intensity sites being found, the expression is considered to be heterogeneous. Uniform receptor distribution being observed in the tumor irrespective of staining intensity degree, the expression is considered to be homogeneous. Homogeneous steroid hormone receptor expression being observed in tumor, favorable clinical disease treatment course is to be predicted.
