<p>The invention relates to a roller (1), particularly a working roller or supporting roller for a rolling mill such as a plate rolling mill, a flat rolling mill, or the like, with a casing (2), a left half pivot (3), and a right half pivot (4), wherein the half pivots (3, 4) in the region surrounded by the casing (2) are constructed in the form of a truncated cone and form a left surface (12) on the left half pivot (3) and a right surface (13) on the right half pivot (4). The left half pivot (3) and the right half pivot (4) are constructed with boreholes (24) and with grooves (11) corresponding therewith. The grooves (11) are formed on the surfaces (12, 13). The invention further relates to a method for producing a roller (1), particularly a working roller or a supporting roller, in that the left half pivot (3) and the right half pivot (4) are inserted in the casing (2), the right half pivot (3) and the left half pivot (4) are braced with one another by means of at least one tie rod (5), an hydraulic oil in boreholes (22) and grooves (11) is passed into or onto the left half pivot (3) and the right half pivot (4), the hydraulic oil exerts a pressure on the casing (2) by means of which the casing (2) is expanded and, with the casing (2) expanded, the stop surfaces (18, 19) and the face surfaces (20, 21) of the casing (2) are pressed onto one another by means of the tie rod (5).</p> |
