METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BATTERY OF VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A method for managing the battery of a vehicle is provided to improve the starting performance of the engine by measuring the natural consumption amount of a battery due to an idle stopping operation and charging the battery according to the consumption amount of the battery. CONSTITUTION: A battery controlling part sets an automatic charging mode and receives an engine starting off signal(101). An idle mode is set, and battery managing information is received(103). The battery controlling part calculates the consumption amount of a battery which is naturally discharged at the idle mode based on the battery managing information. The full discharging time of the battery is calculated based on the natural consumption amount of the battery. The calculated full discharging time is informed to a driver(105). The full discharging time is counted by a first timer(107). If the counted value of the first timer is reached to the calculated full discharging time, the battery controlling part receives current battery charging capacity(111).
