PURPOSE: A content providing server, a content reproducing apparatus, a content providing method, a content reproducing method, a program, and a content providing system are provided to determine the start position of a content based on a calculated viewing parameter using a metadata. CONSTITUTION: Content providing servers(10A,10B,10C) manages various kinds of content data and various information related with the content. The content providing servers offer the managed content data and the metadata of the content data. Content reproducing apparatuses(20A,20B,20C) reproduce video content which is obtained from the content providing server. The content reproducing apparatuses directly acquire the dynamic image content from the connected external apparatus through a predetermined interface. |
