<p>A vehicle control device which generates the speed pattern of a vehicle in a predetermined travel interval and controls the vehicle on the basis of the speed pattern is characterized by being provided with an average traffic flow vehicle speed acquisition means which acquires the average of vehicle speeds in a traffic flow in the predetermined travel interval, an optimum reduced-fuel speed pattern generation means which generates the speed pattern optimized so as to reduce a fuel to be consumed by the vehicle in the predetermined travel interval on the basis of the average of the vehicle speeds in the traffic flow, and a control means which controls the vehicle on the basis of the optimum reduced-fuel speed pattern.</p> |
