<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genotype classification method for Staphylococcus aureus, which is obtained by improving a technique described in Publication NO.2006-141249 and is suitable for the actual industry (medical spot) and a primer set for use in the same. <P>SOLUTION: The genotype classification method for Staphylococcus aureus includes a step for detecting the presence/absence of (1) a phage-derived open reading frame (ORF), (2) an ORF derived from genomic islands except Staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec; SCCmec, (3) a transposon-derived ORF, (4) SCCmec-derived ORF, and (5) ORF constituting a genomic islet on the Staphylococcus aureus genome in an arbitrary order and performing genotype classification by combination of these ORF presence/absence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
