<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing highly refined metal indium from a metal indium-containing alloy with high yield over a long period. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of producing metal indium by using the metal indium-containing alloy as an anode 1, metal indium as a cathode 2 and indium chloride-zinc chloride molten metal composed of indium chloride as an essential ingredient as an electrolyte 3, eluting indium as cation from the anode and electrodepositing metal indium on the cathode, the content of the indium chloride in the indium chloride-zinc chloride molten salt is≥68 wt.% and the content of water in the molten salt is≤0.5 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
