FREE STANDING FRAME

A free standing frame which includes first and second frame parts (11, 2), being connected together such that the two frame parts (11, 12) are moveable between a first closed condition, and a second, in use condition, in which the lower ends (11d, 12d) of the frame parts (11, 12) are spaced apart, and wherein there is provided a retaining mechanism to retain the frame parts (11, 12) in the second, open condition including a first catch part (18), and a second catch part (23) which is carried by a strut (20) which is carried by the second frame part, wherein the strut (20) is moveable in a generally upward direction, from a first position in which the second catch part (23) associated with the strut (20) is not engaged with the first catch part (18) associated with the first frame part, to a second position in which the second catch part (23) carried by the strut (20) engages with the first catch part (18) associated with the first frame part and wherein the retaining mechanism includes a support member (19) for inhibiting disengagement of a second catch part (23) from the first catch part (18).
