SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device of which the classification of a plurality of states (e.g., three or more states) is made accurate and easy, by mitigating an influence of variance in threshold voltages of transistors.

SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes: a source line; a bit line; a word line; a memory cell connected to the bit line and the word line; a driver circuit of second signal lines and word lines for driving the plurality of second signal lines and the plurality of word lines to select the memory cell specified by an input address signal; a writing circuit for outputting a writing potential to a first signal line; a reading circuit for comparing a bit line potential input from the bit line connected to the specified memory cell and a plurality of reading potentials; a control circuit for selecting any one of a plurality of correction voltages on the basis of results of comparison between the bit line potential and the plurality of reading potentials; and a potential generating circuit for generating the writing potential and the plurality of reading potentials to supply to the writing circuit and the reading circuit.
