PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine which facilitates separating scraps. SOLUTION: The laser beam machine 100 which processes a workpiece 1 using a laser beam emitted from a laser oscillator 2 includes: a belt conveyor 17 which is arranged down below a processing area 3 for processing the workpiece and conveys scraps generated by processing the workpiece; a drive 20 which drives the belt conveyor 17; a discrimination section 24 which discriminates the material quality of the workpiece; and a conveying-direction control section 24 which controls the direction to which the scraps are conveyed by the belt conveyor.
