Provided are a wireless communication apparatus, a wireless communication system, a network selecting method and a recording medium whereby, in an environment where a plurality of wireless communication networks are coexistent, the communication interruption caused by the traveling of a wireless communication apparatus can be avoided, thereby allowing the communication to be continued in a more stable manner. A wireless communication apparatus comprises: an acquiring means that acquires network information, which is related to a network to be used for communication, from a management entity that manages the information; and a selecting means that acquires, based on the acquired network information, first information, which indicates the availability of a network in which the wireless communication apparatus is currently situated, and second information, which indicates the availabilities of networks in which the wireless communication apparatus is not currently situated, and uses the acquired first and second information to select the network to be used for communication. |
