PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress peeling of a heat diffusion part or a second protective layer. SOLUTION: A heat generating body plate 30 of the thermal print head 1 has insulation base plate 34, 36, a heat generation resistance part 40, conductive parts 44, 46, a first protective layer 50, the heat diffusion part 52, and the second protective layer 56. The heat generation resistance part 40 is laminated on the insulation base plate 34, 36 and extended in the sub-scanning direction 92 in which a recording medium runs. The conductive parts 44, 46 are electrically connected to an end of the heat generation resistance part 40 and apply voltage to the sub-scanning direction 92 of the heat generation resistance part 40. The first protective layer 50 consists of an insulation material, and laminated on the heat generation resistance part 40 to cover the same. The heat diffusion part 52 has a plurality of through-holes 54 laminated on the first protective layer 50 and formed to communicate the front with the rear side.
