<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device where the construction of control rules becomes easy. <P>SOLUTION: An arithmetic processor 109 at the remote control device includes an event creation portion 122, an enforcement condition creation portion 123, an operation creation portion 124, an event association portion 121, and an operation execution portion 125. The event creation portion 122 creates an event based on a user operation. The enforcement condition creation portion 123 creates enforcement conditions based on the user operation. The operation creation portion 124 creates activity based on the user operation. The event association portion 121 makes the created event, the created enforcement conditions, and the created activity associated with one another, and registers them at an event table based on the user operation. The operation execution portion 125 checks each entry at the event table one by one to determine the existence of event occurrence and the existence of the establishment of enforcement conditions.
