<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradation display method of a display panel capable of performing a dithering process while suppressing power consumption of a driving circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The gradation display method displays an intermediate gradation between a first gradation and a second gradation in a display panel having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix to form a plurality of pixel rows and a plurality of pixel columns, by arranging pixels displaying the first gradation and pixels displaying the second gradation in accordance with a dithering pattern. When a ratio of pixels displaying the first gradation included in one pixel column is defined as a gradation mixture ratio, the dithering process is performed out by using a plurality of dithering patterns giving various differences in the gradation mixture ratios in adjoining pixel columns on each gradation to be displayed by the dithering process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
