PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast video-recording device which reduces the stress of a waiting time during activation by selecting a channel which a user may desire during the activation. SOLUTION: In a HDD integrated optical disk device (broadcast video-recording device) 10 which receives and records television broadcast, a channel determined based on the current day of the week, a current time and a recording history is selected during the activation of the device 10.
