<p>The present invention relates to a process for building tyres for vehicle wheels, comprising: forming a plurality of strip-like elements (13) in such a manner that the opposite end edges (24) of each strip-like element (13) are cut according to at least one cutting angle (t, t1, t2); forming at least one first reinforcing layer (5a) and one second reinforcing layer (5b) which radially overlap each other on a laying surface (14) radially external to a forming drum (2), wherein each reinforcing layer (5a, 5b) comprises a succession of strip-like elements (13) disposed circumferentially in a mutually approached relationship, wherein the opposite end edges (24) of each strip-like element (13) form, in succession with each other, axially opposite respective edges (Ba, Bb) of the first reinforcing layer (5a) and second reinforcing layer (5b); wherein at least one of the axially opposite edges (Ba, Bb) of at least one of the first reinforcing layer (5a) and the second reinforcing layer (5b) is at least partly indented.</p> |
