<p>A portable electronic device is disclosed. The portable electronic device comprises a camera unit adapted to capture images of an object on a first side of the portable electronic device, a memory unit for storing data, and a control unit. The control unit is adapted to analyze images captured by the camera unit in order to trace movement of a pointer device, said movement forming a selection path. Furthermore, the control unit is adapted to determine when said selection path is closed thereby forming a selection area and, in response thereto, generate image data representing the part of an image of the object captured by the camera unit that is within the selection area. Moreover, the control unit is adapted to save said image data to the memory unit.</p> |
