<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor mechanism for automatically controlling a shielding means, which mechanism can detect both an actual passage portion and a forward region of the passage portion through a reliable and a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor mechanism scans a scanning region (16), including a scanner (10) that generates a scanning range (12) defined between two legs which are mutually opened at a certain scanning angle (A) and is configured so that the scanner (10) controls the shielding means (18) of the passage portion in which a spread in a horizontal direction is defined. The scanner (10) is attached, away from the passage portion and the shielding means (18) of a control target, as viewed relative to a passing-through direction (14), and further, the scanning range (12) is directed toward the passage portion and is provided, extending from passing through the passage portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
