<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein there is dispersion in the amount of electric charges which mix with adjoining photoelectric conversion elements, if the intervals among the photoelectric conversion elements are different. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric converter includes a first semiconductor region which acts as a barrier against signal charges between first and second photoelectric conversion elements. A second semiconductor region is provided between the first and third photoelectric conversion elements, in a way that it acts as a barrier against signal charges and has identical depth but a width narrower width than that of the first semiconductor region. Furthermore, a third semiconductor region which serves as a barrier against signal charges is provided, at the lower parts of the first semiconductor region and the second semiconductor region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
