<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a Pb-less ferritic free-cutting stainless steel wire rod which has excellent producibility, also has excellent corrosion resistance and has excellent surface properties upon cutting. <P>SOLUTION: The ferritic free-cutting stainless steel wire rod having excellent corrosion resistance has a composition containing, by mass,≤0.030% C,≤1.0% Si,≤0.5% Mn, 0.02 to 0.10% P, 0.15 to 0.50% S, 15.0 to 20.0% Cr, 0.10 to 3.0% Cu, 0.03 to 0.50% Sn and≤0.030% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and satisfying Mn/S≤2.0, and has a Vickers hardness of≥140 Hv. By the synergistic effect of the Sn addition and the low Mn/S ratio, its corrosion resistance improves, and further, by the Cu addition and the control of the hardness in the wire rod to≥140 Hv, its surface precise can be remarkably improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
