PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood treatment method higher in wood-preserving effect, low in environmental burden and high in economy, comprising conducting a wood-preservative treatment in an impregnating tank using a solution prepared by dissolving a preservative chemical in a volatile organic solvent. SOLUTION: The wood treatment method includes: (A) a step of placing wood in a closed-type impregnating tank; (B) a step of subjecting the tank to reduced-pressurization; (C) a step of introducing into the tank a chemical solution prepared by dissolving a preservative chemical in a volatile organic solvent; (D) a step of injecting the wood with the chemical solution by pressurizing the tank; and (E) a step of removing an excess of the volatile organic solvent in the wood by heating. Thus, the wood is impregnated with the preservative chemical. In this method, as the wood-preservative chemical in the step (C), a chemical including epoxiconazole or epoxiconazole plus an acid anilide-based composition as active ingredient(s) is used.
