PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a trouble that any emergency operation is not executed due to a failure of a sensor or defective connection of hardware or the like though a long period seismic sensor senses the oscillation. SOLUTION: An elevator control device 1 includes a long period seismic sensor 2 for sensing the long period earthquake motion, and an operation control unit 9 for executing the emergency operation. The emergency operation has a plurality of emergency operation modes having operational contents different from each other according to the oscillation level. The operation control unit 9 executes the emergency operation according to the emergency operation mode corresponding to the oscillation level sensed by the long period earthquake sensor 2, and executes the emergency operation according to the emergency operation mode corresponding to the oscillation level above the oscillation level sensed by the long period earthquake sensing means 2 if it is determined that the long period earthquake sensor 2 is in trouble when the long period earthquake sensor 2 senses the long period earthquake motion.
